J.K. Rowling's ex-husband gave an interview that he beat her and helped write "Harry Potter"
JK Rowling's ex-husband, TV presenter Jorge Arantes, reacted to the statements of the writer, which she made in the new series of the podcast "The Witch Trials of JK Rowling". Jorge admitted that he did beat Joan, but denied accusations of stealing an unpublished manuscript of the first Harry Potter novel and said he helped her write a bestseller.
In an interview with American journalist and activist Megan Phelps-Roper, Joan said that her abusive ex-husband stole the manuscript from her so that she would not leave him. According to Joan, the man "took the book hostage."
