Three members of the crew of the film "Rust" filed a lawsuit against Alec Baldwin because of an incident on the set: the actor accidentally shot the cameraman with a prop weapon.
Crew members claim to have suffered from anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder following the death of Galina Hutchins, according to TMZ.
According to cinematographer Ross Addiego, costume designer Doran Curtin and director Reese Price, they were in close proximity to the 64-year-old Baldwin and received "explosive wounds" due to the sound of the gunshot. In addition, they accused the actor of negligence and violating safety requirements when working with prop weapons.

Earlier, Baldwin was mitigated in the case of involuntary manslaughter of a cameraman: the New Mexico State Attorney's Office excluded the aggravating circumstance clause - the use of a firearm from the final decision. Now the actor faces up to a year and a half in prison, despite the fact that earlier he could face up to five years.

The incident took place in October 2021: during the filming of the film, the actor fired a pistol, killing cameraman Galina Hutchins and injuring film director Joel Sousa. The gun used as a prop turned out to be loaded with live ammunition.

Baldwin himself did not admit his guilt and stated that he did not pull the trigger, however, forensics came to the conclusion that the weapon could not fire on its own.
