New Little Mermaid Movie Is On!
Halle Bailey is ready to be part of your world! A new teaser trailer for the upcoming Little Mermaid movie just dropped and Ariel explores the ocean deep with a few familiar friends… and one infamous foe.
"I'm so very pleased to continue the #Disney100 celebration with this fresh look at #TheLittleMermaid just 100 days before it opens in theaters," wrote Bailey, 22, accompanied the teaser on Twitter.
Along with Jacob Tremblay as Ariel's fish BFF Flounder, Daveed Diggs as the crab Sebastian, and Awkwafina as the bird Scuttle, the film also stars Javier Bardem as Ariel's father King Triton.
On Wednesday, a new trailer surfaced for Disney's upcoming live-action version of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey as Ariel. The titular mermaid meets Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric in the 30-second trailer, while Melissa McCarthy's nasty sea witch Ursula introduces herself with a chuckle.
