Bruce Willis Has Been Diagnosed With Frontotemporal Dementia, According To His Family.
The family of Bruce Willis has announced that the actor's condition has evolved to frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, "Bruce's condition has progressed since we announced his aphasia diagnosis in spring 2022, and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, communication difficulties are only one symptom of Bruce's disease. While this is painful, having a clear diagnosis is a relief."
Bruce's wife, Emma, ex-wife, Demi Moore, and daughters Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, and Evelyn issued a joint statement Thursday (via the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration organization) describing the recent diagnosis as "a cruel disease."
